The 5 Step Process

1. Post your job on your favorite classified. Local Paper, Craigslist, Monster, where ever. Tell all applicants only online applications will be considered.

2. Wait. This is one of the hardest things to do because you need to hire someone NOW! Give it 3 days to get a full list of people for you to chose from.

3. Evaluate: This is the most important part of whether or not you are going to get the right person. You will be scoring applicants against the job you are seeking. You must in advance plan your grading to be based against the perfect score. Those that do not meet your requirements need to be discounted as possilble applicants.

4. Email your top 15%. Hire for Performance has a built in email notification for your potential interviews. It invites them to select the date and time you have scheduled to be available for interviews. If there are multiple slots, they can chose which ever works best for them. NO PHONE CALLS at all.

5. Interview - Go over the most critical information left by the applicant. Make sure their answers match for what they put on their application. Any misleading information uncovered should elimate the candidate as unreliable. Be very cautious. This is the point when, if they are good sales people, can make you believe they are the answer to all your problems, THEY ARE NOT.
